Industry Spotlight: Love Opens Windows by House of Noa
May 05, 2020
We are excited to introduce “Industry Spotlight” -- an educational and inspirational series highlighting small businesses from across all industries who are Flexing THEIR Influence. Enjoy!
Who They Are: The House of Noa produces beautiful and functional floor mats for play, kitchen and everyday. Founded by a mom in 2016 and run by a team of her friends, the brand has grown quickly and built a loyal following among their target audience.
What They Did:
In response to COVID-19 the team created the “Love Opens Windows
” fundraising campaign to support NYC hospitals. The #loveopenswindows campaign features hand-illustrated merchandise by the House of Noa designer, Sophia Vincent Guy.
Why We Love It: The campaign is unique and credible coming from the House of Noa, leveraging their in-house designer and extending the aesthetic from the main product line in a new and creative way. The proposition is simple: for every $40 raised they will donate 10 face shields to NYC hospitals, and 100% of the profits from all purchases will be donated.
What We Can Learn:
- Timeliness: The idea began when one of their mat suppliers converted his manufacturing lines to begin producing medical face shields in mid-March. By April 8 the team launched the Love Opens Windows campaign and began promotion through their digital marketing. They worked with their in-house designer and kept it simple!
- Creative Cohesion: The Love Opens Windows campaign feels like an extension of the House of Noa brand. It also brings an emotional, fresh take on life in NYC today.
- Simple Promotion: They announced the campaign through email, Facebook, and Instagram. They made thoughtful additions to their website to drive traffic to the campaign page -- again, keeping it simple. (We love the sticky bottom bar!)
- Clear Communication: Promotional messaging across email and social media is concise and uncluttered, allowing the user to quickly learn about the campaign and make a contribution.
Way to go, House of Noa! 👏
