Let digital marketing be the storybook for your business. Your outlet to get in touch, connect, and grow with your audience. Your chance to stand out from the crowd, to inspire, to explore. Yeah, let's do this! Our team is sharing key steps to creating a unique digital story for your business, take a look:

Step One: Your “Business Casual”

Your logo and brand are the face of your business. Whether we like it or not, businesses (and their digital stories) are often judged by their cover. Your logo should be eye-catching and speak to your target audience. Don't be afraid to retouch your logo if it's looking dated, but be careful not to lose your image in the process! Pay close attention to your profile pictures across social platforms and make sure they are in harmony. Your profile pictures, cover photos, and website headers should be inviting and easy to identify. Don't have a logo yet? We'd love to help you get started :)

Step Two: Your “Singing Voice”

It’s time to become the ultimate ambassador for your brand and social media influencer for your industry. As your business grows more and more eyes will be watching your social media output, so it's extremely important to keep your posts informative and exciting. Give your audience a reason to watch by sharing pro-tips from your industry or relevant press releases. Shy away from too many posts “selling” your product. We like to use the 80/20 rule, 80% of your posts are fun/informative/interesting and 20% are selling your brand.

Step Three: Your “Mixing and Mingling”

When your audience looks at your platform they need to see someone looking back. This means being responsive, being present, being inquisitive. The best strategy for retaining customers is building relationships. If your audience feels like you are engaged and invested in their questions and ideas you'll increase activity on your platforms. We call this Engagement. It's one of the hardest components of the digital storybook because it often takes time to get the hang of it. The concept is to ask questions, answer questions, and provide feedback directly on your posts and the posts of relevant pages in your industry. Create a conversation that your audience will feel motivated to participate in.
